I entered the €20, €30 & €50 daily freerolls tonight and learnt a reminder on how horrible freerolls are! Most people don't care and the play is wreckless. So my tactics were simple, bet big with good hands, fold medium to poor hands and don't bluff.
I started of well in the first freeroll and built up a nice stack playing solid poker, but it had to happen and eventually the bad beats started coming. I learnt one valuable lesson and that was to keep an eye on the many people sitting out and steal their big blinds. Soon enough the blinds were building up and I was getting no cards and I eventually pushed in a 50/50 situation and ended 26th out of 104.
The next freeroll again i doubled up early and looked comfortable. I then hit 2 pair and re-raised all in and got called by trips which turned in to a full house. That was unlucky again, but i know i will have to get used to this. In my 3rd and final tourney of the night I started to get tired and also bored of waiting for good hands only to get suckered so i mixed it up and played a lot more hands. This led to a yo yo in my stack and I eventually pushed all in pre flop with AQ suited, called by 5-7 off suited, and yes you guessed it, a 7 on the river!!
No money in the bank, but a few lessons learned. Its going to be a tough old start, patience will be key and I will have to get used to bad bad bad play and sick bad beats! These 3 tourneys are the only ones i can play right now as none of the others im eligble for. So over the coming days/weeks I will be playing these until i build up a small bank roll. Lets hope i cash sooner rather than later!

The Challenge begins...
Ladies and Gentleman, boys and girls...
I have finally decided to give it ago. Give what a go I hear you say? The Jesus Challenge. My good friend CitrusSR has started the challenge and has currently gone from nothing to over €300 and still going, so I want a piece of this action! Money for nothing!!! What can go wrong?
For those that don’t know, here is an explantion to what its all about:
Poker player Chris “Jesus” Ferguson did a thing where he started from $0 playing freerolls, and won his way up to $10000. Sticking to the following rules:“To ensure that I keep my bankroll intact, I've adopted some key rules: I'll never buy into a cash game or a Sit & Go with more than 5 percent of my total bankroll (there is an exception for the lowest limits: I'm allowed to buy into any game with a buy-in of $2.50 or less). I won't buy into a multi-table tournament for more than 2 percent of my total bankroll and I'm allowed to buy into any multi-table tournament that costs $1. If at any time during a No-Limit or Pot-Limit cash-game session the money on the table represents more than 10 percent of my total bankroll, I must leave the game when the blinds reach me.”I will be pretty much sticking to these rules, though I will be playing on Poker.co.uk (under the name DJ_Sharky) so it will be in Euros and the smallest sit n go is a €3 buy-in.
I have only just signed up to the site and plan to start tomorrow. Im looking forward to the challenge, and cant wait to get stuck in now. Look out for my next post to see how I start!
